The countdown is on! The NOACH Project will launch on September 22. From start to finish, this book has taken ten months to create. That may not sound long for a book project, but from the inside it feels like much longer.
I began last December with only an outline. From there came the steps that shaped it into a finished manuscript: finding an advisor, conducting (many) interviews, writing, rewriting, designing, and gathering endorsements. All of this happened while I was also working with my design clients and publishing their books. One special highlight was the chance to work with Rabbi Lazer Brody on his Book of Psalms in Spoken English. Designing that project alongside The NOACH Project felt like an honor and a fitting parallel.
Right now, I am in the second round of edits. Once those are complete, the files will go to KDP for a printed proof. Holding that first proof copy is always exciting, because it finally looks like a real book. After that, a proofreader will go through the book to make sure every last typo is caught before I upload the final files.
Of course, this is also the point where time feels tighter than I wanted. Crunch time is here! Still, the process is moving forward and each step brings me closer to sharing this book with the world.
By the time launch day arrives in September, The NOACH Project will have gone from a simple idea on paper to a finished book in ten months. I am excited to be nearing the end of this journey and I look forward to putting the book into readers’ hands.
